Thanks for reading Bizarre Uprising. It's been a crazy 8+ years, but I hope you enjoyed the comic. Thanks to all those who were kind to us over the years, you had an impact on us.
TOYS!
Hey there. I'm writing a rant! Like Gil and Razlo, I also went out on a toy hunt for Tranformers Animated toys, which shouldn't be surprising, since I was the one who told them that they were showing up in stores in the first place (though I found out because it was mentioned on the Shortpacked! blog). It was all hot and stuff, but I managed to pick up a Starscream and Grimlock at one store (they are showing up in Wal-marts right now), and a Ratchet and Lockdown at another. They are all really neat, and I'll probably be picking more of them, because I'm thinking of getting complete sets of characters (I'm waiting for Earth-mode Optimus and Megatron, and I'll probably also wait for the bigger Bulkhead that's supposed to be coming out later on).
I won't be going on the big MGS4 adventure, since I gotta work, and shouldn't buy the game, mostly because I don't have a PS3 and won't be buying one until I finish paying for my Wii, which won't be for a while yet. I should also probably get around to finishing MGS2 first, which is funny, as I've already finished MGS3. Yes, I finished the third one before the second one. I was part way through both and I got to figuring that finishing three, then two, and then eventually four would actually work out, considering the order of events.
I put the above Saints Row 2 trailer together because I wanted one video that show a ton of gameplay and most of the official trailers were only a few seconds long. I know that the music choice may not appeal to everyone, but I enjoy watching people die to easy listening music.
While I am excited for SR2, no game is more on my mind this week than Metal Gear Solid 4. I'm going to the Hideo Kojima launch signing on Wednesday night. Since I've enjoyed every game the man has put out, it's quite an exciting event. As is the game of course. I am crossing my fingers for as much Raiden as possible.
This weekend Gil, my fiancee and I just spend our time trying to stay out of the sun, getting Transformers Animated toys and watching great entertainment like Machine Girl.
Machine Girl is one of the most awesomely violent movies I've had the pleasure of seeing. I have my fingers crossed for a sequel since I haven't enjoyed a gore fest like it since the last time I saw a Takashi Miike flick.
We also watched some The Tower of Druaga online. It has a really good balance of drama, action and comedy. If you want to see RPGs playfully skewered than suggest you check it out. Here's the first episode:
We also watched Gonzo's other new show they're premiering online, called BLASSREITER! It was much more violent and adult, but since I've only seen one episode of it, I'm not quite sure where it's going. I do plan on watching more though.
