Thanks for reading Bizarre Uprising. It's been a crazy 8+ years, but I hope you enjoyed the comic. Thanks to all those who were kind to us over the years, you had an impact on us.
Have some belated holiday greetings. Happy Zeester everyone! Zeester is the day we celebrate when Son Goku came back from the dead to save us all from Vegeta and Nappa. We celebrate by looking for the seven Dragonballs the Zeester Dragon hid in the backyard and then sit down at a table full of food and devour it. So it's not too different from that other holiday, I guess. But there's more fighting and yelling and stuff!
So Anime Boston was a lot of fun. We saw a bunch of anime and stuff (favorites included Maria-holic, the new Slayers series, a Detective Conan movie, and Shaw Brothers kung-fu movies), which is to be expected, I suppose. I didn't end up going to the AMV Contest like I usually do, mostly because it was four hours long and apparently didn't end until two in the morning, but we did see the Hentai AMV Contest on Saturday night which was hilarious. More people need to make more Hentai AMVs so that it can be a little longer.
I brought my tax return for spending money, so I was able to get a lot of stuff. I picked up the first two volumes of Soul Eater, two volumes of Sgt. Frog, the first volume of the new Slayers, and the first season of Hidamari Sketch (I ordered the Maria-holic set online when I got home, because I couldn't find it there). I also got a bunch of Figmas (Aegis and the rest of the Lucky Star main cast, since I had Konata already), a couple of Nendoroids (Raspberyl from Disgaea 3, and Hatsune Miku), a Queen's Blade figure that's hilarously dirty, and a couple of art books (Code Geass and Shana).
I also got a lot of use out of the Pokewalker I got when I bought Pokemon SoulSilver at Pax, since cons involve a lot of walking and anime cons are full of people who would own and actually use Pokewalkers. I even made Pokefriends with Miku (or at least someone dressed as her)!
I'm sure Razlo will probably do his own con report with anything I missed, but in the meantime you can see some pictures here. Oh, and since I forgot to link to them last week, here's some Pax East pictures too. They are on Facebook, so apologies in advance if you can't see them.
