I picked up Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii this past weekend and it is totally beautiful and awesome and you should all buy it if you have a Wii and like 2-D action games that are totally beautiful and awesome. Also, I finally picked up Bioshock for PS3, since Best Buy was selling it for twenty bucks and I had one of those weekend ten percent off coupons. It is cool also, even though I tend to die every five minutes. My Big Daddy killing strategy is to shoot him/plasmid him a couple times, die, find him again, shoot him/plasmid him a couple more times, die again, repeat.

In case anyone forgot, I'm lowering my commission rates for the summer, so make me draw you something! Also, they're not really just for the summer anymore.

Just played through Contra Re-Birth with Gil. We played it from start to finish because it was so damn fun. Basically they took the graphics from Contra on SNES, improved it only a bit, but still had it retain that feeling and made a new game that feels like an old game.

Contra used to be one of my favorite gaming franchises and in recent I only had reminders of that joy with flawed sequels. This is the first Contra sequel that I feel really "gets it" since the 16-bit days. Let's only hope it's enough of a success for a sequel.
