Like Razlo already said, we went to Funspot arcade for his bachelor party, and it was tons o' fun. If you've ever seen the movie "The King of Kong" (and if you haven't, go do so), Funspot is the arcade where Steve Wiebe got the Donkey Kong high score, before Billy "Douchebag" Mitchell's totally suspicious looking VHS tape took it away from him. We were kind of hoping to spot Mitchell's little toady from the movie, but I guess he wasn't there that day. Obviously we all made sure to play the Donkey Kong machine there too. It was a lot of fun, to be sure. I stayed up at the house for the rest of the weekend, doing the usual stuff we do there.

I had a great weekend with family and friends celebrating my bachelor party. We had it at Funspot which says they're the world's largest arcade. We spent over eight hours bowling, playing air hockey, winning prizes and playing lots of arcade games. It felt like an ultimate birthday party and I loved it.

I really miss the frequent existence of arcades, and so going to Funspot really brought back the fun and joy that the arcade holds. If it was closer, I could definitely see myself going more often. Now I'm excited to see an arcade in Japan, to give myself an idea of what arcades in the US could be if they were still severely popular.

I'd like to thank Gil and Chuushin for setting up my bachelor party and for everyone that attended. I'll have to find some other excuse to go to Funspot in the future.
