BU is 6 years old!
I forgot to mention this when we updated on Monday, but BU is now 6 years old! That may not seem old, but honestly most web comics don't live to see their 2nd birthday. Trust me, the corpses of web comics that started around the same time as us is littered across the internet.

I can only attribute us being around so long to two things:

1: A great web comic partner. You rule Yuji!
2: Amazing fans. We ask a lot of you to follow our crazy plots, but we're glad you keep coming back for more.

Hugs and Kisses!

BU now on Facebook
I just made a group on Facebook for people who read Bizarre Uprising. Are there any other social networking sites that you think I should have a BU profile on?

Smashing Weekend (DUR HUR)
Hey there everyone! The new site design sure looks all pretty and stuff, doesn't it? It's all because of Razlo and Jen's hard work, since I just did the sidebar drawing thing there, though that was a lot of work too, I guess.

So I went up to Gil and Razlo's, and made us all go to the midnight release of the new Smash Bros and forced Gil to buy it before he planned to, since I totally wanted to play it, but I don't have a Wii, because Grandmas who never use it for more than Wii-Sports keep buying them all, whenever I actually feel like getting one. DAMN YOU GRANDMAS!!! Though I guess I probably shouldn't be spending the money, or rather, credit anyway. The new Smash Bros is a ton of fun, by the way, as we spent a chunk of Saturday night and most of Sunday playing it. The new side-scrolling single/double player mode is really neat, and we cheered and laughed when Solid Snake showed up, and teamed up with badass Pokemon and Kirby characters. It really does make me want to pick up a Wii, if it wasn't for those aforementioned Grandmas. Alas, maybe someday.

But before all that, since Razlo had to go do some wedding stuff, Gil and I watched a mini-marathon of new Spongebob episodes on Nick, which were totally bizarre and fucked-up, and therefore totally awesome, especially the one in which Spongebob attempted to become "normal". I'm behind on my Spongebob DVD season sets, but I think I'll skip ahead to whichever one ends up having those episodes on them.

I also missed the new Spiderman cartoon, since Razlo didn't know it was starting and I didn't set up a tape for it, since I assumed that Razlo was recording it on his DVR. Which proves what they say about what happens when you assume, I guess.

Welcome to Our New Home
Jen helped get this site up and running far quicker than I ever expected. I'm incredibly happy with how the new site looks and I'm glad the early reactions are positive.

As a note, the site is still under construction, so not everything is finalized. I just got the site up prematurely so that the readership could have a better looking site, finished or not.

Over the weekend Gil picked up Super Smash Bros Brawl. I had never played too much in the way of Smash Bros in the past, but wanted to learn how to play it. This seems like a good Smash Bros to jump on board with as it definitely seems like the best in the series. In between our hours of VS matches, we played the single player story co-op.

Other than that, my weekend consisted of watching the usual cartoons: Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, Transformers Animated, League of Superheroes, Death Note and I would have watched Spectacular Spiderman had I remembered it premiered. I'll have to catch it next week and see the first 2 episodes online.

Also, I'm finally sick. I'd avoided it for quite a few weeks despite my co-workers and roommates being sick, but finally I'm down with the sickness. Taking lots of vitamins and such though, so hopefully I can make this a 2 day affair.

Thanks for reading!
